Amaranta Martinez and Alejandra Huerta -both Entrepreneurs and Creative Directors- developed and evolved these Pop-Up Art Events to its present form. These group exhibits feature artists from around the world that produce custom pieces inspired on a concept they come up with, and that changes for every show. With the support of our sponsors we offer drinks and a live DJ, so the opening night always turns into a big event.
We have two small creative companies in Miami. We produce content and motion graphics for big networks like Viacom (Nickelodeon, MTV) & NBC Universal. Along the way we’ve each built this network of really talented designers, directors and photographers that are (in most cases) our very close friends. We felt the urge to do something to unite all these awesome people we know, all in one place, at the same time.
In Wynwood we’ve enjoyed art walks and such, but I knew we could do something bigger and better… That’s when Amaranta came in. We became friends years ago and I have always wanted to collaborate with her. As the curator of the shows, she really materialized the concept. In Miami if a gallery doesn’t represent you it’s difficult to display your art, so our goal is to build a platform for local talent without the red tape.
Since the beginning, the response from local artists, designers and photographers has been simply overwhelming. Our focus is to feature local Latin-American artists, but the show is growing fast. We have our first artist sending their work from Spain. You’d be amazed how many people are paying attention across the world. Our gallery space is small, so we had to turn down lots of artists. We’re very meticulous with our selection because we only want to present quality pieces. We’re very happy with the results, and so are the artists who really put a lot of time into each creation. The art on display is usually for sale and if you’re interested in any of these amazing pieces and support young artists email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
